His interest in music recording also developed during these years together with the band. It started off from a 4 track reel-to-reel tape recorder the drummer owned. Recording music enabled him to express his imagination, creating music which might sound like the band days but with his very own twist.

Life does things you take in different directions and for John family life took precedence over a full time music career. He never quit on music. He continued performing here and there, often with his children – must have been fun. The occasional gig enabled him to continue playing his music, including bands with his children.
